Metis Secure Solutions Fills Key Sales and Marketing Leadership Positions

PITTSBURGH--Metis Secure Solutions, an innovator in precision emergency notification systems, has hired Todd Stephan as VP of Sales and Channel Development, and Joanne Pekich as Director of Marketing. The hires are part of the company’s vigorous growth strategy, supported by a recent funding round of $1.6 million.

Todd leads Metis Secure’s sales and channel partner development. He has 17 years of sales and business development experience, including 15 years in security and emergency communications for global companies such as Honeywell. An expert at developing and implementing effective sales and channel strategies for emergency infrastructure solutions, Todd has won numerous national sales awards.

Joanne is responsible for Metis Secure’s marketing communications. She has spent nearly 20 years planning and executing strategic marketing communications campaigns for both large global organizations and technology startup companies. She has an extensive background in establishing effective, integrated marketing processes and programs.

“Large manufacturing and industrial facilities and universities are already using our system to help ensure that they can respond effectively in an emergency. Our plan now is to spread the word, and the team is in place to do that,” Mark Kurtzrock, Metis Secure’s president and CEO, said.

Metis Secure’s emergency notification system is in use at companies such as Goodrich Landing Gear and VeriSign, and universities such as Carnegie Mellon, Slippery Rock, and Point Park. The system solves many of the communications problems that hamper an organization’s ability to protect people and facilities during an emergency.
