Area of Refuge/Area of Rescue Assistance
Metis Secure provides accessible, hands-free, two-way communications systems that enable people with disabilities to call for help in an emergency. Metis Secure systems comply with codes for non-residential sites, which typically call for two-way communications systems in elevator lobbies or Areas of Refuge/Rescue Assistance.
- People in need can press a button and speak directly with security
- System is hands-free after the initial button-press for people with dexterity impairments
- Help Stations have both audible and visual indicators that confirm that communication has occurred and help is on the way
- The IP-based system can route calls to virtually any location--no phone lines are required
Unlike standalone Area of Refuge call systems, the multi-purpose Metis Secure system easily expands to provide site-wide emergency notification, including sirens, strobes, voice, and on-screen text instruction.
The Metis Secure system can also tie into existing security and life safety systems such as video, access control, fire alarms, email and text alert services, and many more, so you can monitor site security from a single interface.
